Conventional Lubricants
A complete line of conventional lubricants for older and light-duty equipment — blended and packaged in Houston, Texas.
See the product line ↓Nine conventional lubricants — motor oil, non-detergent oil, gear oil and ATF — covering the jobs that keep older equipment running: air compressors, hydraulics, gearboxes, farm machinery and stationary engines.
Non-detergent SAE 30 and SAE 40 for piston-type air compressors that specify an oil without detergent additives.
Non-detergent grades for hydraulic systems and light hydraulic equipment calling for a straight mineral oil.
GL-1 gear oil in SAE 90 and SAE 140 for manual gearboxes, differentials and transfer cases.
Monograde engine oil for tractors, harvesters and farm equipment operating in hot conditions.
SAE 40 and SAE 50 monograde for generators, pumps and stationary engines running long hours.
Type A ATF for power steering systems and older automatic transmissions specifying a Type A fluid.
Straight mineral oil with no detergent additives, for equipment that specifically calls for a non-detergent oil: air compressors, hydraulic systems, gearboxes, older engines and general shop lubrication. Not for use in modern automotive gasoline engines.
LWND30
Air compressors, hydraulic systems
LWND40
Gearboxes, general lubrication
LWND50
Heavy gearboxes, warm climates
Monograde detergent motor oil for older and high-mileage gasoline and diesel engines, farm equipment, tractors, generators and stationary engines working in warm climates. Available in SAE 30, SAE 40 and SAE 50.
LWHD30
Older gasoline engines
LWHD40
Farm and diesel engines
LWHD50
Stationary engines, hot climates
API GL-1 straight mineral gear oil for manual transmissions, differentials, transfer cases and industrial gearboxes that call for a lubricant without extreme-pressure additives. Available in SAE 90 and SAE 140.
LWGL90
Manual transmissions, differentials
LWG140
Differentials, industrial gearboxes
Type A automatic transmission fluid, dyed red so leaks are easy to spot. For older automatic transmissions, power steering systems and hydraulic systems that specify a Type A fluid. Not for use where DEXRON, MERCON or Type F fluids are specified.
LWATFA
Automatic transmissions, power steering
Typical properties for all nine Lubriwest products: viscosity grade, API service designation, kinematic viscosity at 40 °C and 100 °C, flash point and pour point.

Typical values, not a specification. Subject to normal manufacturing variation. API SA, CC/SC and GL-1 are obsolete service designations retained here because they describe the equipment these products are intended for; always follow the equipment manufacturer's recommendation.
